By growing your own fruit trees, you can ensure that your fruit is healthy, organic and fresh tasting.
In spring, we carry a selection of fruit trees suitable for growing in our zone. We have both older, reliable varieties and newer, improved varieties.
Apples, pears, peaches, plums and cherries
Most fruit trees need another variety of the same fruit to cross-pollinate, in order to fruit, with a few exceptions. There are some self-fruiting varieties of Cherries, Plums and all Peaches. There are also some trees that have 4 or 5 varieties grafted onto 1 tree, such as Apples 4 in 1 and 5 in 1. Check with our horticulturists for varieties that are compatible for cross-pollination. They need to bloom around the same time for pollination to work.
